"Children draw Victory"

The preliminary results of the competition "Children draw the Victory" are reviewed in the republic. It is dedicated to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. Public organizations «The Union of Russian Communities in Pridnestrovie», together with the State «Pridnestrovian State TV and Radio Company» were organizers of the event to celebrate the Day of Russia. Department of International and External Relations, "The Moscow House of compatriot", SUE "The Moscow Center for International Cooperation" with the participation of the Russian Embassy and the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Moldova, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Service of Culture supplied support in the competition.

The purpose of the contest is education of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, preservation of historical memory, preventing attempts to falsify history and distorting the role of the Great Victory, and identifying gifted children in artistic creativity.

Works for participation of children aged 5 to 10 years were presented in the Russian community of cities and regions. They had to portray the events of military history, a feat of the people, the life and work of defenders of the Fatherland in their drawings. Sent to the Tiraspol Russian community, headed by Galina Antyufeeva, works were evaluated today at the parliamentary site. The jury in the face of experts in the sphere of history and artistic skill selected the best 80 pictures of the capital participants. The selection took place on such criteria as historical accuracy and originality of the plot, artistic performance.

Summarizing and rewarding the winners will take place on June 22 in the framework of the solemn ceremony for the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, which will be held in the Palace of the Republic. The winners will be awarded certificates and prizes.
