Pridnestrovie hosted last year the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Moldova's armed aggression against Pridnestrovie, the 30th anniversary of the introduction of Russian peacekeeping forces, the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory. Articles, videos and radio programs of state media were devoted to these topics. The materials came out on topical for the republic themes: economics, medicine, tourism, agriculture, etc.
The results of the work of the state media for 2022 were heard by the deputies of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and the Media. Brief presentations were made by the editors-in-chief of the newspapers Pridnestrovie, The Adevarul Nistryan, The Gomin, News of Pridnestrovie news agency, TV channel First Pridnestrovian and Radio-1.
It was noted that all media have their audience in social networks and instant messengers. They spoke in the course of the meeting of the Committee about the lack of personnel with knowledge of the Moldovan and Ukrainian languages. The circulation of newspapers was discussed separately. So far, the subscription level has slightly increased, while a number of subscribers of the Gomin have decreased, for example. According to the Chairman of the Committee, the issue of subscription should be discussed at the Government level.
State newspapers in turn are trying to increase the level of subscription by publishing materials on topical issues of concern to Pridnestrovian readers. Feedback is provided to readers. New ideas and projects are being implemented by News of Pridnestrovie, First Pridnestrovian and Radio-1. The Chairman of the Committee Igor Buga announced the directions that should be included in the work of the state media in his opinion.
The submitted reports will be considered at one of the plenary sessions of the Supreme Council.
