Increased attention is paid to the problems of people with special needs in Pridnestrovie. Legislation has been improved in the field of protecting their rights over the past five years and work in this direction continues. The accessibility environment is improving. There are more ramps and exits from sidewalks that are convenient for all pedestrians in cities and districts.
The Government supplemented the rules of the road by its decree in April of this year. A definition of the concept of "ramp" was introduced and a ban on stopping closer than one meter from stairs, entrances, ramps. This right remains only for disabled drivers of groups I and II, for those who transport people or children with special needs. You can also stop when boarding and disembarking passengers or loading or unloading luggage.
Drivers do not always adhere to the rules for stopping near ramps, which makes it difficult for people with special needs to move in the first place. Pridnestrovie may introduce responsibility for stopping near stairs, entrances and ramps closer than one meter to instill a culture of driving. Violators will be issued a warning or will have to pay a fine in the amount of 10 minimum wage that makes 184 rubles. The relevant law-in-draft on amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Offenses was submitted to the Supreme Council. The author of the initiative is the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Deputies supported the law-in-draft proposed by the PMR President in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens. They will recommend to the deputy corps in the course of the plenary session to accept the initiative in the first reading.
In addition, deputies in the course of the meeting of the profile committee supported the law-in-draft proposed by the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic that supplements the norms of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The initiative is designed to eliminate the legal gap and provides for the right of the victim to get acquainted with all the materials of the criminal case at the end of the preliminary investigation, including in the event of termination of the criminal case. Additions to the Code of Criminal Procedure will be considered in the first reading at one of the plenary sessions.
The Committee prepared other specialized legislations for consideration in the first and second readings.
