To enshrine the rights of veterans

To set the time period within which the Government should provide a report on its activities, and to answer the questions raised by the Supreme Council. Deputy of the Committee on Legislation Grigory Dyachenko proposed to enshrine such a rule in the Constitution. At present the issue at the legislative level is not adjusted. Adopted in the first reading, the law-in-draft establishes a norm obliging the Government to report on its work before April 1. Deputies of the profile committee within the framework of the second reading  proposed extending the deadline until 1 May. This is due to the fact that on the execution of the republican budget report is submitted to Parliament before 15 March. Relevant committee voted in favor of this amendment, taking into account that the plenary recommended the adoption of the law-in-draft in the second reading to enable the Government to prepare the most complete information to parliamentarians.Deputy Vadim Krasnoselsky initiated changes to the Law on "Social protection of veterans and people of retirement age". Approximately 50 thousand veterans of labor live in the republic according to approximate estimates. The legislator suggested to confirm the right of this category of citizens to receive certificate and badge. The author of the law-in-draft Vadim Krasnoselsky suppose that in this way the respect of society and the state to this category of citizens  will increase. At the last meeting of the profile committee the need for the proposed legislation caused by numerous appeals of citizens was noted.

The question for the interpretation of articles of the law "On Enforcement Proceedings", directed by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic was considered at the meeting of the profile committee. The inquiry had to explain what is included in "specific circumstances". According to Galina Antyufeeva to fill this legal gap the deputies of profile parliamentary committee will not be limited by interpretation , and initiate a law-in-draft and a workshop will be held before its examination.
