Legislate Road Safety

The law-in-draft, which united all major security situation on the roads has been initiated by a group of deputies of the Supreme Council. Legislative initiative was designed to secure the basic rights and duties of all road users, as well as state authorities. According to the authors, this will allow solving several problems of social, economic, technical focus. Among the proposed standards: to fix the basic provisions of the MOT, as well as the conditions for obtaining a driving license. As part of the work on the law-in-draft 14 amendments were sent to the second reading mode for adoption and 6 - to rejection. According to the chairman of the relevant committee Efimy Koval several working group meetings were held on this issue to discuss every single amendment. As a result, members of the committee recommended deputies to adopt the law-in-draft in second reading.

The initiative to lower the rate of the unified social tax to 14% for young people was approved. The exemption will not apply to persons over 25 years old, taken on seasonal agricultural work. Taking into account the significance of the  law-in-draft, members of the relevant committee recommended the adoption of it in two readings. Deputy Sergey Pisarenko proposed to extend the benefit to the citizens of 30 years. This proposal will be discussed at the plenary session.

It was also proposed to reduce the tax rate to 12% for employees engaged for temporary agricultural work. In cases where the proportion of the revenue of the company from the sale of own products in the total amount of income for the year is at least 60%.
