The interests of citizens are at the cornerstone

Parliamentarians in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of Citizens Rights and Freedoms considered amendments to the law "On Citizens' Appeals". Legislative initiative was developed by the deputy of the Supreme Council Oleg Vasilaty, suggesting that authorities should receive appeals of citizens during the whole working day.

The position of the author was supported by the head of the profile committee Galina Antyufeeva, emphasizing that many complaints are received from voters on this issue. A positive example of the solution to this problem was told by Oleg Belyakov, a deputy of the Supreme Council. He said that there is a single center for registration of citizens' appeals in Russia, working on the principle of a single window. Noting the relevance of the law-in-draft, members of the responsible committee recommended it for adoption in the first reading.

The responsibility for violations in the sphere of road safety will be toughened in the republic. The legislative initiative on amending the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses was sent by the President. In particular, one of the measures suggests the introduction of criminal liability for a repeated offense committed by a driver during the year. Also, the president offered to permanently disqualify driving licenses for drunkenness, which caused the death of two or more persons by negligence.

The parliamentarians recommended the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading, noting that sanctions can be clarified during further consideration.

Parliamentarians in the first reading supported the legislative initiative of the deputy and the head of the profile committee Galina Antyufeva. She proposed to take into account the periods of service in the prosecutor's office when calculating the total length of service in military service, service in internal affairs agencies, customs bodies to persons subject to the law "On State Pensions for Persons Who Went in the Military Service, Service in the Internal Affairs Agencies, Criminal - the executive system, the service of judicial executors, tax and customs authorities, and their families". At the same time, when discussing the law-in-draft, deputies submitted a proposal to consider a similar norm for combatants and employees of the Investigative Committee. According to Galina Antyufeeva, this could be the subject of discussion of the law-in-draft in the second reading mode.
