Care for retirees

The day of applying for a pension will be the day when the right to it arises, and not the day when the pensioner actually applied to the relevant authorities. An application must be completed with all the necessary documents and sent by mail within 3 months after cancellation of the state of emergency or restrictive measures (quarantine) to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Such amendments to the law "On measures of state support in connection with introduction of the state of emergency" were proposed by the deputy Oleg Petrik. According to him, not all people who have reached the retirement age were able to deal with situation in which they found themselves in connection with the quarantine measures. Some even went outside Pridnestrovie and could not return home.

It is proposed that amendments for future retirees extend their effect to legal relations that arose from March 17, 2020.

Deputies of the Committee supported the legislative initiative and will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading.
