The introduction of compulsory MTPL insurance - is the subject of heated debate

The meeting with the representatives of insurance companies was initiated by APC members of the committee. The work on the draft law on the MTPL legitimization continues in the second reading. The biggest controversy is the size of the share capital. Deputies of the profile committee proposed the sum of 1 million MW, while the president offers no less than 350 thousand MW. However, insurers are divided on this issue: some are in favor in the amount of half the minimum wage RU, others - for 800 thousand. Discussion of this issue once again was decided to shift, but before that, representatives of insurance companies have offered to meet separately and come to a consensus on this issue.

Today the relevant committee received amendments on the law-in-draft, directed by the president. Among them, there was proposal not subject to mandatory insurance, transportation, owned by special organizations, such as peacekeeping forces, as well as cars of foreign diplomats. Deputies of the Supreme Council, and insurers were concerned that if the fault of the representatives of these organizations happen accident, who will reimburse Pridnestrovians losses. Discussion of these amendments were also proposed to transfer to the scheduled on this week's workshop.
