Work is underway to introduce amendments and additions to the law "On approval of the State Program for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2019-2026" in the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, Industry, Transport, Construction and Natural Resources. The law-in-draft was developed in order to adjust certain quantitative indicators of the State Program for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2019-2026. The Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Oleg Diligul noted in the course of the meeting of the Committee that the point at issue is the forecast of the livestock of farm animals and livestock product indicators due to a number of objective factors.
There is a decrease in the number of cattle in the whole country despite the positive dynamics in the increase in the number of cattle and milk yield in the public sector, associated with the import of breeding animals and the increase in milk productivity in agricultural organizations. This is due to the gradual reduction in the number of livestock in personal subsidiary farms among the population. So, if by the beginning of 2018 the number of cattle in the population was almost 10 thousand heads, then in 2022 this figure was a little more than 8 thousand. A farmer in the Dubossary district purchased at the same time 25000 day old chicks for the production of chicken eggs. A significant increase in production volumes is planned for this year as a result.
It is proposed to change the sources of funding for the program for the development of the agro-industrial complex. Funds were transferred previously from the republican budget, the Capital Investment Fund and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund. Funding for the activities of the Program is provided from the Agricultural Support Fund from 2021.
