The Issue of Energy Security

Deputies of the Committee for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Industry reviewed the amendments to the law “On state support of investment activity”. The government proposed to supplement the list of priority sectors with the chemical industry. As it was noted during today's meeting, the state is interested in investors who want to invest in the development of this sphere. The law-in-draft is supported in the first reading.

The discussion of parliamentarians was caused by law-in-draft, developed by Viktor Guzun and Vadim Doni. Lawmakers proposed to strengthen state quality control of cable products imported to the republic.

It is proposed to extend the requirements for mandatory certification, including cable and wiring products imported into the republic.

During the meeting of the Committee, examples were given when aluminum coated with aluminum was imported into the republic as copper wire.

Deputy Vadim Levitsky considers it necessary to work out the question of which they will deal with the issuance of certificates.

The law-in-draft was supported by deputies in the first reading. The issue will be discussed again at a meeting with the government and production workers before its consideration in the framework of the plenary session.
