The way out of the blockade - is in the joint work of all authorities

Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitri Palamarchuk told about the current state of negotiations in the "5 + 2" at the meeting of the parliamentary commission. The issue of the railway blockade of Pridnestrovie caused the biggest debate. Moldavian side literally forced Pridnestrovie on the mechanism of import cargo since the beginning of this year. Import of goods from Ukraine to Pridnestrovie in January was banned without Moldovan customs clearance. A number of restrictive measures appeared in summer: imports of fuels and lubricants through the border crossing point "Kuchurgan - Novosavitcaia" was blocked in June and then through "Slobodzeya - Kolbasna". At the end, Pridnestrovian economic agents have to carry loads through the north of Moldova. December 30 this year, the action protocol decision of the cargo rail traffic through Pridnestrovie finishes. Diplomats at the conclusion of a new treaty plan to identify the best mechanism for our republic imports of goods.

Members of the parliamentary foreign policy committee wondered whether the steps taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is sufficient to change the situation for the better. They discussed possible options for the introduction of retaliatory restrictions for Moldova. During the discussion was noted: reciprocal sanctions will not help the economy of our state. The enterprise "Pridnestrovian Railroad" today employs over 700 people. The imposition of sanctions on Moldova will inevitably impact on revenues and our company, which has already suffered significant losses due to the blockade.

Participants of the discussion agreed on the opinion that the exit from a difficult situation is necessary to unite the efforts of all authorities.

The second issue that was discussed at the meeting of the committee, was part of the Supreme Council staff in the project «Causeway Institute» British organization. As explained by representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the educational project for young diplomats and civil servants of Pridnestrovie. The organizers plan to share the experience of the Northern Ireland conflict resolution. At today's meeting was noted: youth involvement in these international projects will prepare the new public diplomacy to defend the interests of the republic at different venues. Besides the Supreme Council staff participated in this training will be representatives of the State University, as well as ministries and departments.
