Looking for a compromise

Discussion of the law-in-draft on compulsory motor insurance has a long history. Since June 2015,at the level of regulations MTP was introduced  for Pridnestrovian car owners. Since then, at different stages of discussion on this subject there were many disputes, suggestions were heard. The initiator of the law-in-draft, aimed to legalize the MTPL in the republic, were the Supreme Council deputies. Since the beginning of the discussion of the legislative initiative, together with specialists of this sector a lot of work has been done. Thus, for example, a list of privileged categories of drivers were stipulated . Currently, there is competition in the market of insurance services in the republic. According to the chairman of the relevant committee Efimy Koval, during the time of existence the attitude of people to MTPL changed for the better.

Currently, the work on the law-in-draft is continuing in the second reading. The greatest debate is the size of the share capital. As noted many times proposed by deputies the sum of 1 million minimum wage is not final. People's deputies for the convenience of insurers willing to make concessions. However, representatives of insurance companies themselves can not reach a consensus, in order to suit the size of the authorized capital of all market participants. Today, for example, there were proposals to move from RU MW to hard currency. The final point in the debate is planned to be reached at a meeting of the profile committee.
