01.06.2023

Additional funds will be allocated for the 1st stage of the construction of the third stage of the landfill for municipal solid waste near the village of Malaeshty, Grigoriopol district. The legislative initiative of the PMR President, which introduces appropriate changes to the law on the republican budget for 2023, was considered today in the course of the meeting by deputies of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance.

The topic of building a new landfill in Malaeshty for the needs of Tiraspol was discussed on May 30 in the course of the meeting of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic with the heads of Government and administration. The Head of the state administration of Tiraspol, Oleg Dovgopol, said that the design operational resource of the used solid waste landfill in the village of Malaeshty was exhausted back in 2020. The launch of a sorting line and constant reclamation helped to extend the period of practical use. These measures allowed to delay, but did not solve the problem. The landfill is full. The risk of fires in the landfill increases when the air temperature rises in the summer. Several cases were recorded in May, a fire brigade is on duty there now, said Oleg Dovgopol. According to the press service of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, several options for locating a new landfill were discussed. The optimal solution is worked-out quarries, which are located not far from the existing Malaeshty solid waste landfill. The project, which involves the use of four sites, is generally estimated at approximately 66 million rubles. Oleg Dovgopol noted that the first stage will require more investments than subsequent ones, as it is necessary to pave the road to the landfill, create fire reservoirs and build related infrastructure. It will take at least six months to launch the first stage. The head of the relevant Committee Viktor Guzun also told the deputies about the construction of this facility, as he attended meeting with the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic as part of the parliamentary delegation.

Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy considered a number of legislations in the second reading today. This includes changes to the laws on personal income tax, on the unified social tax and insurance premium, on the laws on the self-employed and on the patent system of taxation. They will be submitted for consideration by the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the near future.
