In the course of the meeting of the Committee of the Supreme Council on Social Policy, Health, Labor, Family and Child Affairs, the issues of pension provision, labor legislation and granting benefits to certain categories of citizens were discussed.

Deputies in the first reading examined the legislative initiative of the vice-speaker of the parliament Galina Antyufeeva. The law-in-draft is based on numerous citizens' appeals. The author suggests granting privileges for payment of utilities, which are used by Pridnestrovian pensioners, and citizens who are on pension provision in other states (in particular, in the Russian Federation), but who live permanently in Pridnestrovie.

The parliamentarians supported the concept of the law-in-draft. At the same time, they were interested in how the new rule of law is planned to be implemented, how many pensioners of this category live in the republic? As a result of the discussion, the responsible committee recommended colleagues in the deputy corps to amend the law "On Social Protection of Veterans and Persons of Retirement Age", and to adopt the law-in-draft in two readings.

Another law-in-draft specifying the granting of benefits concerns single-parent disabled people in the eyes of the first group. The legislative initiative was introduced by the government and adopted in the first reading.

At the meeting of the profile committee, deputies discussed amendments to the law on the state civil service in the second reading. They concern the provision to civil servants of annual paid and additional leave, the procedure for their use, monetary compensation in the absence of leave. The law-in-draft is aimed at harmonizing our legislation with the Russian one and was recommended by deputies to the adoption.
