Participation of local deputies in inspections of repair and construction works

The essence of the law-in-draft, which was sent to the Supreme Council by the Bendery City Council of People's deputies is to enshrine at the legislative level the participation of deputies of local councils in inspections of repair and construction work carried out at the expense of budgetary funds. The issue was considered in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Housing and Communal Services.

According to the law-in-draft, the deputy will have the right to sign acts of acceptance of work performed. If there is a dissenting opinion regarding the work, the deputy will be able to state it, leaving the acceptance certificate without his signature.

Speaking in support of the law-in-draft, the chairman of the Bendery City Council gave several examples when various violations were revealed during the commissioning of an object.

The deputies of the relevant Committee supported the proposed law-in-draft, but focused on the need to finalize it and prescribe a legal mechanism for implementing the new norms. The addition to the law "On the Status of People's Deputies of Local Councils of People's Deputies of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" will be considered in the first reading at one of the plenary sessions of the Supreme Council.
