The development strategy of the main university of the republic

The main directions of development of the main university of the republic are enshrined in the provisions of the strategy reviewed today at a meeting of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture. The state target program is designed for five years. Among the main directions of the strategy are the preparation of the staff meeting the requirements of the state, innovative activity of the university, creation of an active scientific environment, interaction with Russian research centers, material and technical equipment of the university.

According to the Vice-Rector of the PSU, Nikolai Smolensky, the proposed document was developed in pursuance of the provisions of the Development Strategy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for the next 8 years.

The amount of planned funding is 37 million rubles. Part of the funds (27 million rubles) provides for the allocation of funds from the republican budget, another 10 million rubles - funds allocated by the university on the basis of various educational, scientific, advisory services. In addition, it is planned to attract funds from additional extrabudgetary sources.

Research, cultural and educational center of Pridnestrovie. One of the priority tasks is to ensure the competitiveness of PSU in the matter of ensuring the high quality of education at various levels.

Deputies of the profile committee supported the law-in-draft in the first reading. Mikhail Burla emphasized the need to adopt a strategic document.

A number of changes will be discussed as part of the “Textbook” program. The amendment concerns the provision of educational and methodological literature of educational organizations with Moldovan and Ukrainian languages ​.

The circulation of printed literature is small, so one textbook will cost about 450 rubles. It is possible to shift to paperback textbooks to reduce costs in the future.

Amendments are recommended for adoption in the first reading.
