Water charge tariff

The focus of the profile committee is payments for the use of water resources, namely the rate of payment for water for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Today, the final calculation of payments for the use of water resources is made based on the base rates, taking into account their changes in accordance with the inflation index. Payments for water can grow quarterly by the coefficient set by the Ministry of Finance of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. In addition, the total payment also includes the tariff of the water supplying organization - the service provider.

As a result, too high rate of payment for the use of water leads to an increase in the cost of production, and in some cases is the reason for the "withdrawal into the shadow" of the object of taxation, according to the deputies of the relevant committee.

The Agro-Industrial Complex Committee proposes to introduce a norm that will give the Government the right in relation to certain sectors (sub-sectors) of the economy to reduce the rates approved by law to 50%.

The profile committee will recommend to the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft in the final reading.
