Fair approach

The law-in-draft was developed by the Government in connection with the appeals of representatives of the business community. We are talking about the taxation of non-monetary income received by individuals as part of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. The state established a set of mandatory measures to combat the pandemic for enterprises, organizations and entrepreneurs in 2020. All organizations and individual entrepreneurs had to provide their employees with means of protection against the virus: masks, protective screens, gloves, disinfectants. According to the current legislation, the issued remedies are also subject to taxation - this is income received by individuals in kind. The law-in-draft that was considered by the Committee on Economic Policy today proposes to resolve the situation and not tax this type of intangible income.

The Economic Policy Committee supported this initiative and will recommend the Supreme Soviet to adopt the draft law in two readings at once.
