To preserve the Dniester

The rules of the road traffic will be regulated by the Government at the level of by-laws. The President Vadim Krasnoselsky proposed to introduce corresponding norm into the law "On road safety". The purpose of these amendments is to improve the efficiency of traffic management. The author suggests in the law to register the redistribution of powers in the sphere of technical inspection of cars. Earlier this right was possessed by the Ministry of Industry and Regional Development. Currently, the inspection procedure is supervised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The law-in-draft is supported by the parliamentarians of the responsible committee in the first reading.

Another legislative initiative was supported during the meeting also affect car owners. The drafters of the law-in-draft were Deputies Oleg Leontiev, Oleg Bayev and Sergei Pisarenko. The authors propose to oblige the organizations involved in the conversion of vehicles to carry out their activities with a license. The government will issue the document authorizing this type of activity. As stated in the explanatory note to the law-in-draft, "the need for licensing of this type of activity is due to the fact that its implementation may entail damage to the health and life of citizens".

The Chairman of the Committee on Agro-industrial Complex, Transport, Construction, Natural Resources and Ecology Oleg Leontyev prepared a draft law aimed at preserving aquatic biological resources. In connection with the critical situation in which the Dniester turned out, the legislator proposes to suspend commercial fishing for three years. The corresponding change Oleg Leontiev proposes to introduce into the law "On fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources of the TMR".

As noted during the meeting of the Committee, certain restrictions on commercial fishing already apply in Moldova. In the opinion of parliamentarians, our state must also take prompt measures to protect and preserve the water resources of the Dniester River.
