The government initiated amendments and additions to the laws "On social protection of war veterans" and "On burial and funeral business." They relate to the extension of the guarantee for the manufacture and installation of a tombstone for participants in the hostilities to protect Pridnestrovie and war invalids due to injury or illness received in the defense of the PMR, who do not have a wife (spouse) and children. These expenses will be financed at the expense of local budgets of cities and regions.
Currently, the guarantee for the manufacture and installation of the tombstone applies to participants in hostilities during the Great Patriotic War.
The authors of the legislations note that there are burials of participants in the hostilities on the PMR protection in cities and regions, who did not have a spouse and children, where gravestones are not installed.
The changes and additions to the current legislation proposed by the Government were supported by the deputies of the Committee on Social Policy. The initiatives will be discussed at one of the plenary sessions of the Supreme Council, while considering them, the financial capabilities of the state will be taken into account.
