Deputies propose to provide wheelchairs, crutches and walkers not only to disabled people, but also to elderly people, if necessary. Various charitable organizations send such auxiliary means of transportation as humanitarian aid to our republic. For example such assistance were received from Ireland in June.

In accordance with current legislation, the state can transfer it only to people with disabilities. Elderly people who are not on a disability group also need mobility aids. Deputies of the Supreme Council Sergei Cheban, Yuri Kravchuk and Ilya Vasiliev suggested changing the situation. The relevant committee will recommend their amendments to the law "On social protection of veterans and persons of retirement age" for adoption in the first reading.

In addition, a group of deputies of the Supreme Council proposed to grant the right to disabled persons of the III group to receive free hearing aids for medical reasons. The authors note the high cost of such devices. On average, one hearing aid costs over 5000 rubles. Moreover, according to the authors, they are difficult to find in pharmaceutical organizations on the territory of the republic.

Deputies considered the issue of providing state support to war invalids in the course of the meeting of the profile committee. We are talking about war veterans who became disabled as a result of injury, contusion, injury or illness received during the Great Patriotic War, while defending Pridnestrovie, while performing military service duties or official duties on the territory of Afghanistan in the period from April 1978 to February 15, 1989 of the year. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet Sergei Cheban proposed to compensate this category of persons for the costs of repairing cars purchased with their own funds.

The amount of compensation is currently about 9 thousand rubles. The amount is issued once after seven years of car operation. After the amendments to the law "On social protection of war veterans" are adopted, 10 more disabled war veterans will be able to claim compensation. The law-in-draft is being prepared for consideration in the first reading.
