To Preserve the Memory about the Feat

Deputies of the Committee on Education supported the initiative of Parliamentarian Oleg Khorzjan, who proposed to introduce the new law "On perpetuation of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" in the legislative field of the Republic. Its provisions are designed to prevent the propaganda and public demonstration of attributes or symbols of organizations, including foreign or international, to deny the facts and conclusions set out the verdict of the International Military Tribunal. Due to the fact that the 2015 th is declared in the republic as the year of World War II, veterans and defenders of Pridnestrovie, as well as on the eve of celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory the parliamentarian initiative confirms its relevance.

The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly adopted the model law "On the inadmissibility of actions for the rehabilitation of Nazism, glorification of Nazi criminals and their accomplices" in 2012, whose main objective was to preserve the historical truth about World War II. This law is already reflected in the national legislation of a number of Commonwealth states. In late October 2014 in the Tauride Palace, headquarters of the Interparliamentary Assembly of States - CIS member states, the first meeting of a working group to draft model law "On perpetuation of the memory of Fatherland defenders, prominent statesmen and public figures."

Drawing attention to the fact, what is the significance of preserving the memory of the heroism of grandfathers in World War II, Russian lawmakers have perfected the law "On perpetuation of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". Acting for about twenty years, the law in the past year has been amended to include provisions that perpetuate opposition rehabilitation of Nazism and glorification of Nazi criminals. In particular, the new edition of the rules of Russian law prohibits the promotion of attributes or symbols of organizations (including foreign or international), to deny the facts and conclusions set out the verdict of the International Military Tribunal. The author of legislative initiative considers similar provisions necessary to introduce legislation in Pridnestrovie. According to Oleg Khorzjan, they will not only perpetuate the memory of the Great Victory, but demonstrate the unity of Pridnestrovians with other CIS countries, primarily Russia, the question of the relation to the unprecedented feat of the Soviet soldier. In addition, the author proposes to amend an editorial in the laws "On the Banner of Victory", "On the State Flag of PMR".

Deputies of the Education Committee also reviewed the law-in-draft of the deputy Vladimir Bodnar on amendments to the law "On wages of public sector employees and pay per person and persons equated to them under the terms of payment of monetary remuneration". The document was developed in order to bring in compliance with the current legislation concerning working time teachers. The Labour Code stipulates PMR that the rules of hours of pedagogical work for the wage rate determined by the Government. At the same time the law on salaries of public sector employees found that these functions are assigned by the head of state. Thus, the law-in-draft proposes to establish that the duration of working time, depending on the position and (or) for the specialty of teachers organizations, regardless their affiliation should be determined by the regulatory legal act of the government. The members of the parliamentary committee will recommend the deputies to adopt the law-in-draft on amendments to the law "On wages of public sector employees and pay per person and persons equated to them under the terms of payment of monetary remuneration" in first reading.
