Reduce the risk of unnecessary financial losses

05.11.2021

The newly created Committee on Regional Policy, Housing and Utilities in the Supreme Council held its first meeting. The decision to resume the work of the committee was made at the end of September. The additional burden for the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, which since the beginning of the new convocation has been in charge of housing and communal services and regional policy, turned out to be too great. The new parliamentary committee includes deputies Anton Onufrienko and Boris German. Ruslan Gareev was elected head of the committee.

Today the deputies of the Committee for Regional Policy discussed the law-in-draft with amendments to the law "On homeowners' associations". The Government proposed to reduce the administrative burden on non-profit organizations - homeowners' associations, namely to free them from the need to compile and submit duplicate information and reporting to the tax authorities. The deputies supported such a proposal and will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading.

The PMR Prosecutor proposed to reduce the risk of unjustified financial losses for developers. The legislative initiative deals with cases when construction is planned in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings.

The law-in-draft proposes to change the procedure for obtaining a building permit near apartment buildings. The new version of the law assumes that the general meeting of apartment owners in a residential building will make a single decision on the issue of giving consent for both design and construction. Deputies of the profile committee supported this initiative and will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading.
