The President sent a legislative initiative to the address of the Supreme Council, that improves the norms of laws regulating relations in the sphere of military duty and military service. In particular, the law-in-draft concerns the strengthening of control over the observance of the order and the execution by citizens of military registration duties, as well as the procedure for citizens leaving the country during the draft campaign and removing them from military registration.

Oleg Obruchkov added that, in accordance with the proposed initiative, citizens who are to be called up for military service and who wish to leave during the draft campaign for a period of more than three months will have to personally report this when they arrive at the military commissariat at the place of residence.

The Head of the committee Galina Antyufeyeva focused on increasing the prestige of military service in recent years.

At the same time, a large number of people annually defer from service service, the vice-speaker added.

Deputies of the committee emphasized the importance of solving this problem. At the same time, it is unacceptable to restrict the constitutional right to freedom of movement of persons of military age, according to the people's deputies. The majority of votes supported legislative initiative that was supported by deputies of the relevant committee. Deputies will take the final decision.
