Form the Unified Position

A working meeting was held in the Supreme Council with the participation of deputies of the parliamentary committee on legislation, representatives of the president, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the prosecutor's office. The purpose of the interdepartmental working group is to form a unified position on the legislative initiatives of the President aimed at strengthening administrative responsibility for offenses in the sphere of road safety.

The participants of the workshop exchanged views and expressed opinions on a number of provisions of the legislations. Deputies suppose that in order to improve the situation on the roads, it is necessary to take into account both statistics and analysis of the causes of violations. Only by increasing fines the situation is not corrected. The proposals will be formed into a table of amendments and sent to the relevant parliamentary committee for consideration.
