On Rural Administrations and Issues of Privatization

Participants of the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on State Regional Policy discussed today the initiative of Oleg Vasilaty on Amendments to the Law "On local Government, Local Government and Public Administration in Pridnestrovie". Parliamentarian offers to provide it with the rules governing the organization of rural (township) administration. We are talking about the general principles of formation, powers, the basis of ensuring the activities of the village administration, as well as the procedure for monitoring the activities of the head, which, according to the law-in-draft, is an elected official of the executive body of the local self-government, is a member of the Council of People's Deputies and manages.

The discussion was attended by the chairmen of the initiatives of urban district councils of the republic. The law-in-draft was recommended for adoption in the first reading, taking into account a number of comments.

Relevant committee supported the proposal of the deputy Vitaly Kalin to amend the law "On privatization of state (municipal) housing stock". He considers it necessary to provide one-time right to free privatization of premises occupied under a contract of commercial hiring if the continuous period of residence it is at least 15 years. Today, citizens do not have such a possibility. The urgency of the problem is confirmed by many parliamentarians, in the constituency of which family condominiums are located.
