A number of measures to support the economy

Deputies of the committee in the course of the meeting discussed in the first reading changes and additions to the law “On the republican budget for 2019”, providing for the redistribution of funds of the republican budget for a number of articles. In particular, the law-in-draft proposes to adjust the distribution of funds of the Road Fund with the aim of channeling the received extra-planned revenues to the state administrations of Bendery, Tiraspol and Dniestersk for the purchase of road equipment, repair work and road construction. The law-in-draft provides for changes in the capital investment fund's cost estimates for 2019 due to the redistribution of funds at the facilities of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense.

In addition, the economic policy committee discussed amendments to the law-in-draft "On Additional Measures aimed at stabilizing the PMR economy" for the second reading. This is about government support for two river ports of Pridnestrovie - Bendery and Rybnitsa. Earlier, the developers of the legislation suggest reducing the tax burden for these enterprises, and direct the net profit to capital investments in new technological equipment, overhauls, expanding production and improving the material and technical database of organizations.

The Committee will recommend that the Supreme Council adopt this law-in-draft in final reading at the next plenary meeting.
