237 people with hepatitis B or C started antiviral therapy, and 204 patients completed the course of treatment last year. Such data was announced today by Minister of Healthcare Kristina Albul in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Social Policy and Health. She presented a report on the implementation in 2022 of the state program "Prevention of viral hepatitis B and C in the PMR for 2021-2024". The State Target Program was adopted by the Supreme Council in July 2021 and has shown good results since then, the Ministry of Healthcare notes.
862 people are registered in Pridnestrovie with a diagnosis of hepatitis B, and 1352 people with a diagnosis of hepatitis C. Among them there are those who are undergoing treatment now, who can potentially start treatment in the future, as well as those for whom treatment is currently contraindicated.
According to the report, more than 2 million rubles were allocated from the budget last year for laboratory diagnostics and screening studies, as well as for the treatment of patients with viral hepatitis B and C, which is 83% of the planned amount.
Based on the report on the implementation in 2022 of the state program "Prevention of viral hepatitis B and C in the PMR for 2021-2024", the relevant parliamentary Committee prepared a relevant draft resolution, which the deputies will consider at one of the next plenary meetings.
