Deputies will consider amendments and additions to the PMR Law “On the Republican Budget for 2022” this Wednesday, at a plenary session in the second reading mode. The amendments relate to the redistribution of financial balances that have developed as of January 1 of this year. The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance together with representatives of the Government of the PMR, worked out and approved the amendments for the second reading at the meeting today. They relate, among other things, to the targeted balances of the Road Fund, environmental funds, targeted collection for the improvement of the territories of villages, for the maintenance and development of the social sphere, targeted collection of land surveyors, etc.

Additionally, funds will be sent to the Unified State Social Insurance Fund of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic within the framework of amendments to the law on the budget. To reimburse expenses associated with additional payments for Russian pensioners who, due to the depreciation of the Russian ruble, suffered financial losses. The state is already providing them with financial support and guarantees an additional payment to the level of the Pridnestrovian pension that a person received before switching to the Russian one, taking into account its indexation during this time. Funds are provided to increase payments for the Day of Memory and Sorrow, June 19. This year, the widows of the fallen defenders of the PMR, who have not remarried, should also receive it. Consolidated decision was made as a result of the meeting of the Committee. Some of the positions proposed by the amendments in the second reading were proposed to be rejected. The final decision will be made for the rest by parliamentarians at the plenary session.

As for another law-in-draft, the parliamentarians will consider in the second reading this Wednesday. Amendments to the anti-crisis law to support enterprises and businesses in the new conditions were worked out today by the deputies of the Committee on Economics together with representatives of the Government of the PMR and the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie. All parties worked together to develop a set of support measures, jointly discussed issues and problems with representatives of enterprises, businesses, communities of entrepreneurs. The law-in-draft proposes to establish a number of measures that are supposed to neutralize the negative effects of external factors on economic entities. The Economic Policy Committee proposed a table of amendments for acceptance and a table for rejection. The Supreme Council will make the final decision at the plenary session on May 25.
