Last fall, a single day of voting showed the imperfection of the electoral law. Deputies of the Supreme Council Vadim Krasnoselsky, Galina Antyufeeva, and Peter Pasat proposed amendments to the Electoral Code, thereby extending the list of reasons for early voting. Vote in advance will be able for persons who at the time of the election will be on business trip or to fulfill public duties. The law-in-draft also deals with the prohibition of the placement of campaign materials near the polling station building. Profile committee prepared for adoption this initiative in the final, third reading.

In preparation for the elections, the Central Election Commission faced some difficulties in the formation of voter lists. Deputy Galina Antyufeeva prepared a draft decree of the Supreme Council for the fact that information on voters-servicemen, as well as lists of voters-servicemen undergoing military service, military personnel living on the territory of the military unit, are not information constituting a state secret.

The adoption of the corresponding decision of the legislative authority on the interpretation of provisions of the law "On State Secrets" will continue to avoid such situations.
