Deputies of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Public Associations and the Media considered the “Development of the State Educational Institution “Pridnestrovian State University named after Taras Shevchenko” for 2025-2029” draft state target program in the course of the meeting. It is proposed to allocate more than 56 million rubles from the republican budget for its implementation in just 5 years of the program.

The main goal of the state target program is the development of the scientific, educational and innovative potential of the dynamically developing leading university of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the modernization of the education system, the expansion of scientific activities and international cooperation, as well as the training of highly qualified competitive personnel capable of professional growth and mobility.

It is planned as part of the state program to reconstruct the dormitories for the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Bendery Polytechnic Branch of PSU, as well as to repair the facade, roof and premises of the Faculty of Economics of PSU (building No. 11). To carry out the economic activities of the university, vehicles will be purchased. Among them is a minibus for the Archeology Research Laboratory. New modern equipment will be purchased for educational laboratories and experimental departments, and comfortable modern furniture and household appliances will be purchased for student dormitories. Funds will be allocated for the reconstruction of the Senetatya sports and recreational camp.

The draft state program paid special attention to the educational policy of the country's main university. There are plans to modernize existing and open new training programs for specialists at all levels, to introduce practice-oriented and project-oriented educational programs. Among the main tasks is the implementation of additional general education programs for schoolchildren. For example, “Young Chemist”, “Young Teacher”, “Engineering 3D Modeling”, “In the World of Mathematics”, “Physics in Experiments and Problems” and others.

It is planned to prepare and defend 20 doctoral and 75 candidate dissertations over the 5 years of the program in the field of research activities. 500 teachers will have the opportunity to improve their qualifications. 200 of them will be able to do this in the Russian Federation.

The draft state program for the development of the Pridnestrovian State University for the next 5 years will be considered by the deputy corps in the first reading at one of the upcoming plenary meetings.
