The draft Law of the PMR "On the introduction of the Urban Development Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" was presented at a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy and Housing and Public Utilities today. Its authors were deputies of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexander Korshunov, Anton Onufrienko and Oleg Vasilaty.
According to Anton Onufrienko, the draft Urban Development Code was developed in accordance with the current concept of harmonizing the legislation of the PMR with the Russian one, taking into account local specifics. As follows from the explanatory note to the law-in-draft, the proposed draft Law of the PMR "On the introduction of the Urban Development Code of the PMR" regulates relations on territorial planning, urban zoning, territory planning, architectural and construction design, relations on the construction of capital construction projects, their reconstruction, major repairs, demolition, as well as on the operation of buildings and structures, determines the competence of state authorities of the PMR, state administrations and Councils of People's Deputies of municipalities, the rights and obligations of citizens and legal entities in the field of urban development, the role of urban planning documentation and urban planning regulations. The draft Urban Development Code will be considered by deputies of the Supreme Council of the PMR in the first reading at one of the plenary sessions.
