The draft state target program "Equal Opportunities" designed until 2027 has been prepared for consideration in the second final reading. It was planned initially that the state program would begin to operate this year, however it was decided to postpone its launch until January 1, 2026, taking into consideration the difficult economic situation in the republic. This was discussed by the deputies of the parliamentary Committee on Social Policy in the course of their meeting.

A wide range of activities are planned within the framework of the state program, including the formation of an accessible environment for people with special needs: installation of ramps at social infrastructure facilities, as well as arrangement of descents and ascents at street intersections. The plans include holding thematic events – competitions, festivals, concerts and charity events for the socio-cultural rehabilitation of people with special needs.

The Ministry of Social Protection and Labor was appointed as the responsible executor of the program in the original version of the law-in-draft. The parliamentary Committee on Social Policy decided to include the Ministry of Defense in the list of responsible executors, when preparing the law-in-draft for the second reading. One of the enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is "The Dniester Dawns" health complex. This is one of the main Pridnestrovian health resorts, where hundreds of people come every year for treatment. Some categories of people with special needs can receive free vouchers to "The Dniester Dawns" today. These are, for example, disabled children, unemployed disabled people of groups I and II of general illness, work disease, occupational disease, disabled people of groups I and II due to vision and other categories. They plan to build ramps in "The Dniester Dawns" and purchase wheelchairs for the sanatorium within the framework of the state program.

The draft state target program "Equal Opportunities" will be included in the agenda of one of the upcoming plenary sessions. The relevant parliamentary Committee will recommend that the deputy corps adopt the law-in-draft in the second final reading and approve the state program.
