Work with the Youth

Regular meeting on the issues of applicable policy, possibility of self-government and housing and communal services took place. The deputies clarify a number of issues that arise in the next plenary meetings. Thus, one of the issues was the legislative initiative of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov in the Law of the PMR "On local authorities, local self-government and state administration in the PMR". The law-in-draft proposes to consolidate the system of interaction between the executive body of state power, which is in charge of the state youth policy, and local government bodies responsible for the implementation of the state youth policy. Conditions for full-fledged work in the field of youth policy at the level of local government have been created. However, the level of interaction between the Department for Youth Policy of the Ministry of Education of the PMR and state administrations is insufficient in practice. Such interaction is not indicated by law in the competence of state administrations of cities and regions. In this regard, the author of the legislative initiative proposes to enshrine in the law a provision that the state administration within its powers assists state authorities in the implementation of state youth policy in the territory under their jurisdiction.

The Youth Parliament initiated the submission of the law-in-draft to the Supreme Council. Young parliamentarians drew attention to the need to improve the interaction between the executive bodies of state power responsible for the implementation of state youth policy and local government bodies, proposing the presented concept of the law-in-draft.

The introduction of changes, according to the Youth Parliament, will eventually involve young people in social and political activities, increase their social activity and social responsibility, create conditions for the development of civil society, and promote the organization of interaction between young people with the legislative and executive authorities of Pridnestrovie, local authorities self-government.
