The Work on the Code of Administrative Offences continues

Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered the law-in-draft of Galina Antyufeeva "On amendments and addendum to the Code of Administrative Offences". Let’s remember, the law-in-draft was supported by deputies in the first reading out of three alternative documents submitted by the President, government and specialized parliamentary committee. Series of amendments to the current version of the Code of Administrative Offences will allow involving administrative responsibility of the owner of the vehicle for traffic violations if they are fixing by special technical means. The law-in-draft is designed to improve the Code of Administrative Offences in the course of rapprochement of the Pridnestrovian legislation with Russian.

Preparing the law-in-draft for the second reading, the Committee proposed amendments concerning the strengthening of administrative responsibility for the management of a vehicle not registered in the prescribed manner. If the fine of 5 to 10 MW in current version for the punishable offense, the changes proposed to increase its size to 50 MW.

Another amendment has been prepared by the Committee in order to establish the requirement that the deprivation of the right to drive the vehicle can not be applied to a person who uses it in connection with disabilities, as well as to the person for whom it is the only source of livelihood. Exceptions are driving while intoxicated, failure to pass the established order of medical examination for intoxication, as well as neglect of duty in connection with a traffic accident.

 The Committee on Legislation will recommend to the deputies to adopt the law-in-draft "On amendments and addendum to the Code of Administrative Offences" in the second reading, taking into account the prepared amendments.
