Meeting of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media was held in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The agenda includes changes and additions to a number of relevant laws.
The Committee considered in particular the amendments to the law regulating the basics of public control in Pridnestrovie in the first reading. They concern the postponement of the creation of the e-democracy system. Such a system, which allows every citizen to participate in the life of the state with the help of information technologies, was supposed to start working in 2019. Its concept has not been approved and funding has not been provided for the development of the e-democracy system. The law-in-draft proposes to introduce an e-democracy system in 2023. The representative of the Ministry of Digital Development stressed that the preliminary concept is already in place.
The deputies of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy approved a report on the implementation of two state targeted programs today.
How the state program for the preservation of cultural heritage sites that require urgent repairs is being implemented, said the Head of the State Service for Culture. Maria Kyrmyz emphasized that the State Target Program is viable and is being implemented.
The implementation of the state program for the development of the Taras Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University until 2023 was presented by the Minister of Education Svetlana Ivanishina. She noted that the state program was funded by 49% last year, and partial repairs were made to the interior of the university. Unfortunately, funding for these state programs has been suspended for 2022 due to a possible deterioration in the economic situation due to external factors.
