The work of deputies of the local Council with the proposals of voters

26.09.2022

The Committee on Regional Policy has prepared by the second reading a package of bills that relate to the work of deputies of local Councils to consider proposals, applications and complaints of citizens. The author of the amendments to the current legislation is the deputy of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov. The parliamentarian proposed to prescribe that the Chairman of the Council should provide general information about the work of deputies of the local Council on the proposals, applications and complaints of citizens considered exclusively at sessions. Deputies must report on their work with voters annually in the manner and form established by the local Council at the same time. The initiatives passed the first reading.

The amendments decided to clarify that the chairman of the local Council should annually provide information on the activities of deputies to work with people's complaints for consideration in the second reading. Voters can send them both in written and oral forms, and electronically via e-mail. Deputies of city and district councils should send a response within one month, as the current legislation suggests. If necessary, the term can be extended up to two months.

Deputies of the Committee on Regional Policy decided to recommend the adoption of legislations in the second reading, taking into account the prepared amendments.

In addition, the issue of the transfer from state ownership to municipal ownership of the republican stadium located on Mira Street, 21 was considered today in the course of the meeting of the Committee. A corresponding resolution of the Supreme Council has been prepared. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky set the task of completing the transfer of the stadium to the state administration of Tiraspol at the beginning of the year.

The issues discussed by the profile committee today will be considered at one of the plenary sessions.
