The law-in-draft "On amendments and addendum to the Electoral Code" is preparing for the second reading. The authors of legislative initiative – are parliamentarians Vadim Krasnoselsky, Galina Antyufeeva Peter Pasat - offer to bring the Code into line with the outcomes of the November 29 last year, elections to representative bodies of state power at all levels. Earlier, United Voting Day was first held in our republic. The elections were declared valid without obvious violations of the law. However, according to deputies, removal of the identified gaps in the legal environment is required. One of the proposals - to expand the list of reasons for early voting, expanding its valid reasons such as business trip and perform public duties. The law-in-draft also reflects the opinion of the Central Election Commission regarding the distribution of campaign materials. In the course of a unique day of voting by international observers it was found that the products of agitation were placed next to the building of the polling station. On this occasion, there were comments from not only international observers, but candidates and voters.

Deputies during the meeting of relevant committee on legislation supported the amendments for the second reading: 49 - to adopt and 3 - to reject. The changes are mainly of clarifying nature. One of the amendments concerns clarifying the fact of residence of the candidate. The Committee supposes that it should be confirmed by the documents attesting to permanent residence of a person in a certain period of time in a particular area of ​​PMR constituency.

In the near future the solution of deputies of profile committee will be discussed during the plenary session.
