The Government in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare presented to the deputies drafts of two state programs in the field of healthcare.

The first state program is aimed at preventing tuberculosis. Its main areas are treatment, diagnostic and preventive measures, drug provision for tuberculosis patients, chemoprophylaxis of contacts and risk groups, as well as raising awareness of tuberculosis.

It should be noted that state target programs aimed at combating this socially significant disease have been in effect in Pridnestrovie since 2016. A similar state program is in effect in the republic today. It expires on December 31, 2025.

The draft of the new state program is designed for 5 years – until 2030. It is assumed that 56 million rubles will be allocated for its implementation. Of these, 49 million from the republican budget and 7 million from grants of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. However, the final amount of funding will depend on the economic situation in Pridnestrovie. Let us recall that today the republic is in a state of emergency due to the general economic crisis caused by the reduction in gas supplies to the republic. Many state programs have been temporarily suspended or reduced due to the critical situation in the economy.

The main goals of the second state program – "Immunization of the population of the PMR" – are to strengthen the epidemiological well-being and continue systematic work on the prevention of infectious diseases. This program is not new for the republic. The Supreme Council approved the first such state program back in 2005. The term of the current program, like the state program for the prevention of tuberculosis, expires at the end of 2025. Vaccinations are carried out in Pridnestrovie against 11 infections – tuberculosis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, Haemophilus influenzae, pneumococcus, measles, mumps and rubella today. Vaccinations are carried out on a planned basis and according to epidemiological indications.

The draft of the new state target program "Immunization of the population of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic", designed for 5 years, provides for financing from the republican budget in the amount of 32.7 million rubles. The final amount allocated for the implementation of activities within the program at the same time will also depend on the economic situation in the republic.

The drafts of two state programs will be included in the agenda of one of the next plenary sessions for consideration by the deputy corps in the first reading.
