Committee on Enterprise and Industry has initiated and chaired a workshop. The problems faced by small businesses were discussed in conditions of the current economic downturn in the country. Representatives of this sector of the economy and organizations defending their interests were invited for the concerned debate. They talked about the need to minimize administrative barriers, reducing the number of required certificates, approvals, permits, preparation of which is costly for business not only financially, but also with the time point of view.
Parliamentarians and representatives of the business community say that small business is in need of state support not less than the large. The lack of full concessional lending to small businesses is the weak element today in the structure of anti-crisis measures.
Legislation, regulating legal relations in this sphere needs serious adjustments. The Committee is working on its improvement. The proposals, announced in the course of the meeting, will be examined and summarized by the Committee's experts. Rational ideas form the basis for new initiatives.
