Work on the law-in-draft on the budget for 2023 continues in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The relevant parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance, together with representatives of the PMR Government discussed the amendments proposed to the document in preparation for the plenary session that will be held next Wednesday.

The meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance lasted two days this time. After the meetings that were held, including at the site of the Administration of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, it was decided to clarify the expenditure part of the budget, taking into account the changed situation in the energy sector. The priorities remain the same – the fulfillment by the state of its social obligations to citizens in full and on time. The size of salaries of public sector employees, pensions and benefits will not be lower than the level of 2022, the deputies noted.

The deputies will discuss at the plenary session the possibility of adding another 1.5 million rubles for the purchase of 5 apartments for disabled participants in the hostilities to protect Pridnestrovie.

Here are some more figures that were announced at the meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance. Approximately 205 million rubles allocated for the Capital Investment Fund, 71 million for the development of the reclamation complex. It is also planned to allocate about 2.5 million rubles to pay for the admission of children by narrow specialists in private medical organizations.

The parliamentarians will make the final decision at the plenary session. Work on the main financial document of the country for 2023 continues.
