Work on tax legislative amendments continues

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance continues to work on amendments to tax legislation, which were submitted to the Supreme Council by the Government. The legislations were adopted by the Parliament in the first reading this Wednesday. It is planned that the Supreme Council will consider all documents at a plenary meeting in the second final reading on Tuesday, September 26.

In particular, deputies of the relevant Committee, together with those invited, discussed amendments to the legislations “On the Unified Social Tax and Mandatory Insurance Contribution”, “Special Tax Regime - Simplified Taxation System”, “Special Tax Regime - Patent Taxation System”, “On the Fundamentals of the Tax System” ", "On personal income tax" and a number of others today. A consolidated position was developed as a result on all changes being made.

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance will voice its position in the course of the plenary meeting, which will be held on September 26. The deputy corps will have to make a final decision on all amendments.

The legislations will be sent to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for signature if adopted in the second reading. All changes to tax legislation will come into force on the 1st of January, 2024.
