The problem of high social significance

Breast cancer is most often detected (25.5%) for women, tumors of the trachea, bronchi and lungs (16.2%) for men. According to the Ministry of Healthcare, the growth in indicators is associated with a difficult epidemiological situation in 2020-2021, when the level of diagnostics has significantly decreased. However, the epidemiological situation in the republic improved and more people managed to get tested last year. The number of diagnosed malignant neoplasms increased accordingly.

More and more neoplasms began to be detected in the early stages - this is 56.5% of the total number of cases, according to the Ministry of Health. For comparison, 10 years ago this figure was 48.4%. According to experts, the detection of the disease at stages I-II allows you to quickly start treatment and avoid serious complications.

The main item of expenditure in the estimate of the state program "Oncology: improving oncological care for the population of the PMR for 2021-2025" last year was the provision of patients with quality medical care, namely, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. More than 11 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget for these purposes. In total, more than 13 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget for the implementation of the state program.

According to the relevant Committee, the problem of oncology cannot be considered only as a medical one today. Therefore, it has a social and national significance. The deputies note the need to take additional measures to improve the quality of treatment for patients with cancer, as well as to ensure early diagnosis and prevention of severe complications.

The Ministry of Healthcare Kristina Albul, will present to the deputies the results of the implementation of the state program for oncological care for the population at one of the next plenary meetings of the Supreme Council.
