The Priority of Expenses

The Supreme Council in November plans to consider the draft republican budget for the next year in the first reading. As it was decided at the meeting of the Presidium, parliamentary committees should submit opinions on the main financial document of the country until November 8. The Committee on State Regional Policy held the second meeting dedicated to this issue.

During the meeting, they considered planned revenue and expenditure budget. Representatives of the executive authorities, including First Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Tatyana Kirova were invited to the dialogue.

Speaking about the revenue side of the budget, the head of the committee Oleg Vasilaty focused on new legislation adopted in September regarding the activities of individual entrepreneurs.

The government assured deputies that this issue will be worked out by the second reading of the law-in-draft “On the republican budget 2019”.

The committee during the meeting raised the issue of expenditures on food for children in educational institutions, as well as the amount of payment for it. They talked about the use of funds from the Road Fund. According to the government, it is necessary to replace asphalt pavement in the territories of educational institutions. This is due to the need to ensure the safety of students.

When considering the parameters of the budget-2019, the deputies of the committee on state regional policy at the top of the list put the priority of spending public finances, as well as their validity. At the same time, parliamentarians consider the fulfillment of the state’s social obligations to the citizens.
