Deputies of the Parliamentary Committee on State Regional Policy considered issues on the agenda concerning the functioning of local authorities and self-government. The Bendery City Council came up with a legislative initiative that presupposed the accountability of existing house committees to the representative authority on the ground. The chairman of the Bendery City Council of People's Deputies Yury Kara, who introduced the law-in-draft, supposes that the initiative is called upon to increase the role of house committees, to determine the mechanism for their creation, elections of their members and chairmen.

The representative of the government expressed the official position of the highest executive authority. He pointed to the legal uncertainty of the law-in-draft proposing to include house committees in the structure of the city councils, since according to the current legislation the house committees are local self-government. For these and other reasons, 4 members of the profile committee voted for rejecting the law-in-draft with one vote "for". In the opinion of its chairman Oleg Vasilaty, the issues raised by the Bendery deputies should be the subject of regulation of housing legislation.

Deputies of the Committee on State Regional Policy unanimously supported the adoption of the legislative initiative of the head Oleg Vasilaty about the introduction into the existing provisions of the Housing Code of the norm on the necessity of concluding contracts for the export of solid domestic waste. The law-in-draft was also approved by the Government.

The issue of adjusting the norms of the Law "On Leasing State and Municipal Property" was discussed. The initiator of the amendments was made by the Bendery City Council, insisting on observance of the right of the representative body of power as the owner of municipal property to lease it. As part of the discussion, it was clarified that at present, the Ministry of Justice is coordinating a number of legislative initiatives that regulate the procedure for leasing state (municipal) property developed by the Ministry of Economic Development.

In the course of the meeting, Deputies of the Committee of the Supreme Council for State Regional Policy supported the law-in-draft, initiated earlier by the Grigoriopol City Council, according to which local representative bodies of government have the right to apply to the bodies of state power unhindered, adding it to the Prosecutor's Office of the PMR.
