Raising salaries for medical workers

Since January 1, 2020, wages for TB specialists, workers of ambulance and hemodialysis units have been increased. The Supreme Council at the beginning of the year adopted corresponding amendments to the law. At the legislative level, the restriction was removed for such categories of health workers, when the amount of surcharges and allowances should not exceed 140 MW. Deputy of the Supreme Council Sergey Cheban proposed to remove this restriction for other categories of medical workers.

Minister of Health Alexei Tsurkan told deputies about the situation with the staff in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture today. He spoke about the outflow of medical workers. They must be kept in the republic. An increase in salaries is one of the incentive measures, the Head of the department said.

The amendment of Sergei Cheban was supported today by deputies of the committee on education, science and culture. After its adoption by the deputy corps, the total premiums due to doctors are planned to be paid from March 1.
