The Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, Industry, Transport, Construction and Natural Resources is preparing a legislative initiative of the Committee deputies for adoption in the first reading, which proposes to make a number of changes and additions to the Land Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Parliamentarians propose to expand the powers of rural and town Councils of People's Deputies, so that they can allocate plots for gardening from among agricultural lands not only within the boundaries of the settlement, but also beyond their borders.
Residents of villages and towns are forced to apply to the republican authorities for the issuance of such permits currently. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture who took part in the Committee meeting agreed with the advisability of such changes and made a number of small comments. It will be taken into account when preparing the law-in-draft for the second reading.
