Preparing for the second reading

Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens prepared a number of legislations for consideration in final reading. One of them concerns a ban on the consumption of vapes by minors and a ban on the sale of vapes to persons under 18 years of age, accordingly. The legislative initiative of a group of deputies of the Committee was supported by the deputy corps in the first reading. Deputies in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Legislation voted for the amendments prepared for the second reading. They are of a clarifying nature. The committee deputies want to submit this law-in-draft, aimed at protecting the health of adolescents, for consideration in final reading at a plenary meeting scheduled for July 3.

Legislations submitted by the President in one package along with the new law-in-draft “On the internal affairs bodies of the PMR” have also been prepared for adoption. The new law will focus on the legislative definition of the system of internal affairs bodies, which includes the militia and units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Certain provisions for service will be regulated and the anti-corruption component in the work of internal affairs bodies will be strengthened.

Changes to the laws relating to the training of conscript students without amendments have been prepared for consideration in the second reading. They will be able to continue their studies according to an individual plan, thereby not losing a year and not going on academic leave if there is no correspondence or evening course in their specialty.

The decision on all legislations prepared by the relevant committee will be made by the deputy corps at plenary sessions.
