Online meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance was held in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The Committee deputies and invitees considered in the first reading 11 legislations, the authors of which were both parliamentarians and the PMR Government.
Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy decided in the course of the plenary meeting to submit legislations on amendments and additions to the laws “On the fundamentals of the tax system in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”, “On the income tax of organizations”, “On personal income tax” ", "Special tax regime - simplified taxation system" for consideration of the Supreme Council.
For example, a package of legislations concerning the development of the tourism industry in Pridnestrovie was initiated by the Government.
The explanatory note states: support for rural tourism began in 2023, which was declared in Pridnestrovie the Year of the agro-industrial complex, rural areas and rural tourism. In particular, funds were allocated on a gratuitous and targeted basis in the form of a grant in the total amount of 1 million 610 thousand rubles from the republican budget within the framework of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund to 12 business entities for the creation of rural tourism (agritourism) facilities. 2 business entities are legal entities and 10 are individual entrepreneurs. Therefore, it is important that the money provided as grants (free subsidies) be fully allocated to the implementation of tourism projects. The authors of the legislations consider that tax exemption for organizations and entrepreneurs developing tourism in Pridnestrovie will help maintain the competitiveness of the tourism industry and will lead to an increase in the income of individual entrepreneurs specializing in the provision of tourism services. This in turn will entail an increase in tax payments to the budget. Deputies of the Committee supported the legislations in the first reading and recommended them for adoption by the deputy corps at the plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
