The main issue on the agenda of the meeting of the parliamentary committee on economy is to provide free gas to beneficiaries. The Supreme Council started its implementation at the legislative level. It is offered to provide free of charge 1000 cubic meters of gas to the heating season to socially vulnerable categories of citizens. According to the official representative of the Ministry on Industry and Regional Development, the size of the social norm was increased from 90 to 140 cubic meters per heating season for a beneficiary. In addition, every month they will receive 27 "cubes" of free gas for one person for such purposes as water heating and cooking. According to government estimates, this amount will exceed 27 million rubles.
The benefits will take effect as early as this month. Appropriate changes to the budget in 2016 will be made. Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance recommended the adoption of the law-in-draft.
Parliamentarians listened to the report on the expenditure of funds allocated for the organization and conduct of presidential elections during held today meeting.
The CEC Chairman Elena Gorodetskaya noted that, in the course of the last December presidential elections failed to save a considerable part of the funds. The main reason was that the elections were held in one round. The head of the Central Election Commission presented the parliamentarians the draft estimates for the costs of organizing and holding of by-elections of deputies of the Supreme Council. Earlier 4 parliamentarians prematurely terminated their powers, to work in other authorities. In connection with this by-election in the highest legislative body of the republic it will be held in four constituencies. Its date is scheduled for April 2, 2017. The planned expenditure exceeds 695 thousand Rubles. The final cost estimates for the upcoming vote to approve the deputies during the plenary session.
